Too often our culture approves force to push our beliefs onto others. Forcing someone to follow your beliefs is called tyranny and tyranny often breeds resentment and anger, leading to further conflict rather than a resolution.

We feel the need to go and help or fix other peoples’ problems because we see it is a problem, not because they asked for our help. Now, sometimes they are unable to reach out, or don’t know how, or feel like they cannot. But other times, they simply don’t have the problem you can ‘see’ they are having.

Perhaps the only reason there is conflict in the first place was because someone tried to get involved in someone else’s affairs without being asked…If they don’t ask, is it really our position to tell others what is best for them?
