Social media has amazing capabilities including communal and knowledge-sharing benefits and the ability to connect with people across the world and unite over common interests and passions. It allows us to constantly connect with everyone’s opinions, everyone’s success and unfortunately, everyone’s drama.

It seems to take more of a role as a source of entertainment and often a platform for complaining, bullying, abuse, and addiction.

If we are not using it for the communal benefits it can leave us feeling overwhelmed, depressed and MORE isolated than before.

The more we use this technology, the more we begin to understand some of the spiritual and moral issues within ourselves. It’s a scary tool but one that seems here to stay – so beware the addiction and monitor your mental health while using it.

How do you use these realms of the internet? Do you have control of it or does it control you? What can we do to help minimise the addiction, without simply logging off for good?
